Training 6.30-8.30 every Friday night.
The Under 15s play in the Cheshire County League U15 competition, which is an 11 a side hardball competition played over 24 overs per side. Batsmen must retire at 40 runs, while bowlers are limited to a maximum of 5 overs. The league is split into local groups initially, with matches played on Sunday mornings. After the group stage is over, the teams are split into new groups based on their performances (top 2 from each division grouped together etc.) so leagues of equal ability teams are formed. A total of 14 games are scheduled for the season.
Training typically involves a mixture of net practice and fielding practice, with a focus on developing match specific skills. Practice becomes geared not just towards junior cricket but also to developing senior cricketers of the future. The club can provide equipment for new players if necessary, but the majority of players will have their own by this age. Suitable clothing is needed for training, and spikes are preferable for use during fielding practice.
